This spinning mama resides in Boston, NY with her husband, Michael, and her two daughters Mallory and Olivia. Having a love of fitness (that continues to grow!) Nicole has 2 spinning certifications through Mad Dogg and Stages.
When she’s not at the gym, or being a wife and mother, Nicole is the Operations Manager at Buffalo MRI. In their spare time, the Monins love to travel, enjoy nature, and go skiing.
Tony is a certified Stages Spin instructor by night and a licensed property insurance trainer by day! Tony loves to cook, so naturally he holds a degree in both Culinary Arts and Food Service Management. He enjoys all the bad jokes in the land, playing video games and traveling with family and friends as much as possible. Tony loves to keep life fun and his cereal soggy.
Lindsey is a certified Stages spin instructor. When she’s not at Rise and spending time with family and friends, Lindsey works at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Clinical Flow Cytometry Laboratory.
In her spare time, Lindsey and her fiance, Kevin, love to attend Buffalo Sabres, Bills, and Bandits games! Lindsey is an experienced horseback rider and is hoping to get back into competitions with her horse, Ally!.
Matt, has been living, working and competing in Hamburg his whole life. A local teacher here in the village, you’ll find him working out with his 3 kids and wife, Kara at the track, trails, slopes and gym. A lifetime competitor he has completed multiple road and trail marathons, Tough Mudders, Ragnar races, earned a black belt and has completed Iromman 140.6. Living his mantra “ Get comfortable doing the uncomfortable.”
He has worked as a martial arts, boxing, and bootcamp instructor. Needless to say functional lifetime fitness is his passion. He is always looking for the next big challenge. Hop in his class and build the strength, skills and passion to accomplish any goal.
Before fitness, Katy’s first passion was dance. She began dancing at age 3, and started teaching dance at age 14. Her dance experience and love for fitness make a great combination for Rise Fitness Studio. She graduated from the University at Buffalo with two bachelor degrees: Dance and Communication. She also works full time in the Health Insurance Industry.
In Katy’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with the ones she loves the most.
Christie Gleason has been a group fitness instructor and trainer for over 25 years! She has been trained and certified in 22 different fitness programs. Christie keeps active by doing things like running marathons, obstacle courses like the Tough Mudder, paddle boarding and other fun activities! She works full time as a sales representative for Vertical Pharmaceuticals in the Women's Health Division. Christie and her husband, Tom, have a 3 year old daughter, Maeve Elizabeth, who is the love of their lives!
Jenea was born and raised in the village of Hamburg and continues to reside here with her wonderful husband and beautiful daughter. Jenea is a 2nd grade teacher at Union Pleasant Elementary School and a certified Personal Trainer. She also holds certifications in Mat Pilates, Apparatus Pilates, Beachbody Insanity Max30, and Stages Bikes and is a 2nd degree black belt. Her passion for health and fitness, and desire to be a strong, positive role model to her daughter drives her motivation daily. She also enjoys baking, reading, and singing/dancing with her daughter!
During her off-time, Ashley likes to spend time with her fiance, Colin, and daughter, Ellarose. When she’s not chasing after her toddler, Ashley enjoys going to concerts and experiencing live music.
During the day, Ashley is a Project Manager at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics. She has also been a spin instructor for almost 3 years. She is certified through Stages and was originally house-trained at Compass Cycle in Rochester, New York.
Paige is a Baptiste Certified Teacher and works at a telecommunication company called Vaspian. You can also catch her teaching down the street at Shine Yoga.
Other than doing yoga, Krav Maga, and hanging with her dogs, one thing Paige loves doing is throwing parties. She’s always had a dream of being a wedding planner so throwing parties and celebrating everything is her outlet.
A former Division I swimmer at Cal State Northridge and currently training for two Half- Ironman events, Beau is a huge fan of any form of pure competitive punishment (especially if it helps him avoid the epic ‘dad bod’).
Beau is a sucker for his girls: his beautiful wife, Lindsay, and his adorable daughter, Chloe… plus another viking on the way! He is a Stages certified spin instructor and, by day, a Financial Advisor for Northwest Bank.
You can find Nick in the gym most days working hard to hopefully someday compete in a bodybuilding competition. Growing up, Nick participated in football, wrestling, and power-lifting.
He is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and his favorite exercises is a squat (although you wouldn’t guess it if you saw his arms!
Sarah is a Buffalo native and grew up in the competitive dance world. She trained under many award-winning teachers and choreographers across the U.S. Coupling her professional training and love for dance, she began teaching barre-style classes for the past 5 years. Her classes are energetic, fast-paced, and are guaranteed to incorporate at least 2 Beyonce moves!
Sarah and her husband have two baby boys. She enjoys traveling, gardening, and cooking clean, healthy meals for her family. She’s always eager to share her recipes with the class!
Missy is a Stages Certified Cycling Instructor; rhythm ride is her specialty. She’s sure to push you past your comfort zone.
Missy started indoor cycling to get her health in check but later realized it was so much more than that. When she isn’t on the podium you can find her Taking someone else’s class or Spending time with her husband and family.
Eli started his fitness journey 8 years ago when his best friend helped him lose 100 pounds! Since then, Eli has been learning something new every day and helping people along the way. He has been teaching spinning for about 6 years and personal training for the last 4. Watching people smile is his favorite thing in the world and he loves that he has an outlet to pass that along.
During the day, Eli works for a company called ACV Auctions where he works with dealer to dealer automotive transactions. When he’s not at the office, you can find him with his two dogs, Rocco and Gleda, hiking or at their favorite ice cream stand!
Sam is a Registered Dietitian working in Clinical Nutrition, so any and all nutrition questions are welcome! Sam will be at our front desk most days!
"I obtained my Bachelor and Master degrees in Dietetics from D’Youville College. I completed 1200 hours of supervised practice in various local hospitals and clinics, including fields such as pediatrics, trauma, counseling, community, food service, and long-term care. During my educational career, I published research in Pediatric Nutrition and Nutrition Education
Nick is a Baptiste certified teacher. He has taught all over Buffalo for about four years. Nick's interest in yoga started in the physical practice and has grown to include the psychological benefits as well. His approach has evolved from a very aggressive physical challenge, to an awareness of what the body needs from day to day. Yoga has helped Nick through struggles with anxiety, depression, cancer, and everything else that life throws at him. You can call him a survivor, but he prefers the term WARRIOR. When he's not teaching or practicing yoga, Nick loves running the trails at chestnut ridge, spending time with friends and family, and watching too much Netflix with his girlfriend.
Kim, our certified Run Coach & TRX Instructor , has always been into sports growing up and returned to distance running after having her two awesome kids. She completed her first half marathon in 2013 and, since then, has finished 6 marathons (7 after this year’s Boston Marathon!) and 10 half marathons along with many other shorter races. To Kim, the best part about running is that anyone can do it, it’s a great way to keep in shape, and the lessons you learn about yourself can be used in all other aspects of your life. When she’s not running around the town, Kim is a finance/accounting professional who enjoys coffee, chocolate, and good craft beers. We’re excited to have Kim on board!
